I'm trying to get a lot better with the XCaliber disc from Innova. It's extremely overstable. This means that it fades hard to the left on a standard backhand throw unless you give it a ton of arm and snap.
It turns out it's a good disc for me at Wilco holes 1, 2 (around the low tree to the right), 3, 5, 13, and 17. It's not a bad sidearm disc either.
The Double R Club is doing their Outlaws tournament at Wilco AND Old Settlers this year on Sept. 21 and 22. Everybody will play two rounds at Wilco and one round at OSP. Advanced and Open will have a final round of nine at OSP.
There's no recreational division in this tournament so if I want to play in it I'll have to step up to intermediate. My scores have gotten better lately and I like playing up so we'll see. My scores at Rivery beat over half of the intermediates. OSP scares a lot of people off though. The great thing about tournaments is, even if you wind up not being in one, your scores get a lot better on that course as you practice for the tournament.
