Flying Saucers

| Saturday, October 04, 2008
We had 14 at Wilco for disc golf.  Wisely, we split into 4 groups all playing singles.  It was a pretty windy day.

Almost everyone contributed to the ace pot and all but a couple had domino bag tags to exchange.  Co-organizers Steve and Matt both brought CTPs, prizes for the closest to the pin contests we held for hole 5 and for hole 12.  I really like how the meetup is coming together.  Matt suggested we bring bags and do a clean-up while we played.  That worked out well and I felt like we did our civic duty towards the course.  Kyle and Ken posted photos of Wilco and the putting contest too so it's not just me posting pictures and comments now.

After the round, three of us went to The Triangle near The Flying Saucer for a beer festival and a putting contest by DiscNation.  I picked up my Halloween edition Buzz too.

If you made two of your putts, you got a coupon for a $5 pint.

The flying saucer is kind of a disc golf and ultimate themed bar with lots of brews and darts.

Usually I stay after the meetup for the second or third round of disc golf. This time I was happy I went to the festival instead. It was a lot of fun.

Oh, and a couple of the images were from Ken's postings on the meetup.
