Crokinole was a Big Hit

The Double R Disc golf club had their annual party Saturday.  After 2 rounds of disc golf at The Rivery and a send-off lunch for Tony, I joined them

I took a Crokinole board and it turned out disc golfers really like that game. They called each shot to the center target an ace and referred to shots that went right and then curved left as hyzer shots. They also talked about the advantage one team had because someone was "putting down hill." We moved the table to a more level position and rotated around the table so that the slight "lean" affected each team equally.  Jon Donaldson has a great setup on his property in Leander.  He's got old shade trees, lots of room, a pool (JD jumped in with his clothes on to catch a disc), and a 9-basket disc golf course set up with 3 different tees for each basket. He occasionally does minis there.

Crokinole is a great game for sitting around in the shade.  Wow, that was the first game I played since the last boardgames meetup.  Clint and I played a game of Masons on Sunday afternoon.  He won, so he did pretty well for an 8-year-old.
